Land Nav Muster - Hoffman 25 January 2025
This is the advanced Land Navigation Muster at Hoffman State Gamelands, which is the actual location for your SFAS land nav training. The Muster includes a full day of training with all of the tips, tricks, and techniques that will give you the confidence that you need to never stay lost.
You should be able to read an MGRS map, plot a point and azimuth using a protractor, and understand basic map reading. If you don’t know how to do any of this then get a copy a Never Get Lost and learn. You can attend completely unskilled, but you will struggle to master the core techniques that we teach.
Plan to walk about 10 miles and expect to get wet…you will cross Scuba Road. Wear whatever gear you want and bring any ruck that you want…or no ruck at all. You are responsible for providing all of your own provisions, so you will need a way to carry it all.
Ticket price includes all instruction, a map, a protractor, pace beads, and an optimized curriculum GTA.
Participants are STRONGLY encouraged to bring a map case, a Cammenga 3H compass, and writing materials. Failure to do so may negatively impact your learning outcomes.
